TIMS Hydraulic clutch
Does anyone use one of TIMS CBX Hydraulic clutch conversions?
Will it give me a far softer clutch? -my CBX chopper has 13 inch apes with 6 inch risers & the clutch is so very hard....(having a problem with my left hand this will prove to be a problem,especially as I ride with a club that rides long distances)
Your thoughts & experiences would be appreciated :)

Why will the clutch pull be easier? The force required is determined by the springs. Force on the clutch pressure plate translates into hydraulic pressure. On the handlebar lever, that pressure translates back into force.
Unless you change the ratio, which in this case means lever travel, the force remains the same.
The reason the clutch force may seem to be excessive may be caused by the ape hangers and the excessively long cables, where the friction inside adds to the lever effort.

Having changed my bars to 1inch, I am using a set of Yamaha Dragstar controls, so unfortunately the TIMS conversion probably won't fit.alimey4u2 wrote:Look what I found, expensive mind you....

Spoke, there are plenty of master clutch cylinders for 1" bars out there. As far as the slave cyl goes, I'd prefer one mounted to the clutch cover, the one alimey4u2 showed goes to the lever coming out of the cover. You have to mount it on the frame. If you look at a VFR, theirs is mounted right on the cover. Completely different mounting and auctuating system. I've been thinking of converting some covers next summer for a hydraulic clutch. Two of my CBX's have bars that locate the clutch cable where it (the cable) interferes with the instruments and other things. Plus it's starting to get difficult (and expen$ive) to get sport clutch cables.
