spark plug gap...

Post by steve murdoch icoa #5322 »

Now don't laugh.
Does the spark plug gap change when the stock ignition and coils are changed to Dyna on an '81?
I also have Taylor wires and am now using NGK DR8ES-L plugs.

Good luck Dennis, It worked for me but I can't steal all the credit....If my memory serves me well ( rarely these daze... ) this was advised by Dyna S .....

I witnessed a spark from the system while cranking the engine over with # 1 plug lead off. I was in my shed & while I was spinning her over, I heard a loud crackling sound. Looked down & I had a spark jumping from the dangling lead to the cam cover.... a distance of about 3 inches...
