I will have to vote for Terry's Honda CB750 thread. It hits a home run on two of my favorite subjects: 1. Motorcycles of the 1970s and 2. In-detail history thereof. It is amazing how much gets lost so quick because of lack of interest in the beginning and poor documentation by the OEMs. Then, after 25 years, some semi-professional writer or motorcycle magazine editor who considers himself god's gift to the world, does a half-hearted research through some old , contemporary article collection and writes a book about a specific model. Soon, the rest of the world considers it gospel. And sure enough, suddenly, the first 7,000 or so Honda CB750 engine cases were made in a sandcast process.
