Yeah, I can handle the cold with my heated gear. But I don't enjoy riding in the rain.Dynamohum wrote: Sat Jan 18, 2025 12:21 amI just got a new pair of waterproof gloves but I won’t be heading out in the rain to test them. I ‘bench’ tested them already. I’ve sure had my share of riding in the rain but it’s not very enjoyable and the bike gets filthy.SanDogDewey wrote: Fri Jan 17, 2025 8:53 pm Weather looks even better. But we did have sunny and 40 today, which beats the rain!

Mid 50's and sunny would be nice. It's cooler here, and we have a good bit of snow from the last storm, which was two weeks ago. Forecast lows near term are at or below zero, f. But, we're loading the bikes into the camper later today in prep for a run to parts south. Going to visit old friends and family in Florida, and do a bit of riding there.

Either garage is too small or we have too many bikes. Or Momma's car needs to go outside.

I got in a 160 mile loop today. Perfect weather, road and no traffic. Very few bikes out, maybe more tomorrow. Anyone else?

We’re having some unseasonably warm weather up here on the coast of Oregon. Got the bird out for a couple rides over the last two days.

Great! It’s good to get out. Our bikes need exercising, especially the older ones, the forks need to be compressed, brakes need to be used, wheels need to be rotated and the engines need to be run, plus, riding motorsikkles is fun!

I was all geared up to take the Honda but the tach stopped. Fixed it when I got home.
Took the Hayabusa up to 7,582’, the Tamarack Ridge between Shaver and Huntington lakes. Really warm down home but a tad chilly up high. See the stick forest in the snow? See how the fire didn’t cross the road in a couple pics? I remember how it looked before the fire a couple years back. It was all heavily forested with evergreen trees. Saw a couple longhorns too, different from those I’ve seen elsewhere.

See how green the left side of the road is? The fire didn’t jump it in this section.

Good on ya, mate. Nice ride. Thanks for taking us along. Old bones, here, waiting for the temp to get above freezing at sea level.
