Did you bend them? Is that why they won’t slide into the needle guide? If they are bent, I would try rolling them on a flat solid surface (like a table saw platform) to find the high spot in the bend. Then apply light pressure with a wooden dowel to straighten them.

Internal diameter is messed up on two of them (needle can’t go through), one is widened from the top so probably won’t go back in the carbs

What pitch are on those 3mm screws for choke butterflies?
Is there any good solutions to chase the thread, because it’s really difficult to find quality thread chaser that size?

What can cause that on carb number 1 and 4 I’m not getting fuel from accelerator pump after assembling them? When they were apart passages was clear and checked. Carburetor number 2,3,5 and 6 have nice spray.

The tiny holes can easily mask over with brake or carb cleaner residue (I use brake cleaner to test - less residue). Just remove #3 bowl and blow through the system with a rubber-tipped blow tip, it will usually clear.

Regarding the choke plate screws: the thread is M3 x 0.5 You should be able to find a tap at any good tool supply house. OR, ebay. I used new screws and Loctite blue when reassembling. Some folks just use the original screws and let those 'botched' threads do the locking.

Yep, I went with new screws and blue Loctite. Bought new long M3 screws and made notch perpendicular to the thread with Dremel, just to clean the thread. Worked just fine.

Looking good! You may want to tap the front cam chain adjuster plug in flush with the casting. Looks like it is sitting out a bit. What valve cover hold-down bolt grommets did you use? They appear to be a bit small - the rubber should be squishing out around the washer. May work just fine, give it a try. Keep us updated!

Re: 1982 CBX On the road again project
Will do adjuster plug, didn’t forget on him. Bolt grommets came with gasket set, and right away figured out that they are smaller than oem, but they are easy to change if things start leaking, anyway planning to recheck valve gaps after 1tkm or so.
