Hi,
I'm new to this group and was interested in the VIN number discussion. I have a 1979 CBX I bought used in 1992. Vin GB1-20-00224. The bike was tired but ran well. I thought I had a engine noise so I tore the bike down to the last nut and bolt. As they, "Life got in the way". Everything was put in box's. I moved four times since 1992 and the box's always went with me. I'm now retired and living in Florida. I need a project so out came the box's, some falling apart. I'm now into the restoration and have the engine finished. I'll be at least 80 by the time the bike is finished and won't be able to ride it. So what do I do? Selling will be hard. Getting old suck's :text-thankyou. Rich

Greetings Rich, and welcome! The market for CBXs is still robust, and so once you've had your fun with the project, you'll quickly find a willing buyer. Check in with the group as you go, and we'll give you some sense of the market value of the bike once it's finished, so you don't get in any mismatch with potential buyers. And please sing out as you go if you get stuck with anything or need a part. We like nothing more than to see another one put back on the road.

Good luck with your project!

Have fun with the project, Rich. And, 80 is not too old!
