Good morning, I'm busy with a customer's CBX1000 - Vin # SC002302891 / engine # SC03E2305771. I've rebuilt the motor and would appreciate advise regarding assembling the primary shaft in the correct position. I understand the description according to the factory manual regarding the older engine using the primary shaft with the spring against the primary driven sprocket / ring nut. However, this engine uses the later shaft without the SPRING. I believe there's a different way to assemble the later shaft. Would appreciate some sound advise.

The Pro-Link shop manual shows clearly how to install the later primary shaft. You need a stout spanner for the ring nut.
