Hello from the Netherlands
Hello everyone,
My name is Joost, I'm 32 years old and from Leiden, the Netherlands.
I have recently bought a Moto Martin CBX that has been sleeping in a garage for over 20 years. It was a dream of mine to own a cbx one day. I wasn't on the lookout for a cbx because honestly they are quite out of my league pricewise. This martin cbx was owned by one of my dad's mates. He bought it new in 1981 and he would rather see it go to me instead of some bikedealershop. Late february/early March 2023 I am going to start on bringing this cbx back to life slowly. I am not in a hurry to get it going asap. Just going to take my sweet time getting to know the beautiful engineering of this motorcycle. I will make good use of this forum and all the technical knowledge you guys collected in all the years. And I hope I can contribute in this in some way as well!
Cheers, Joost

Welcome to the site, Joost.
Nice to hear about any CBX being brought back to life let alone a Moto-Martin.

I think this is a Spondon frame, not a Moto Martin.

Those Spondons look really similar yes!
Mine looks a lot like this one, the colours are about the same although mine has a full silver engine and nickel frame

Re: Hello from the Netherlands
Just having some fun Joost, start a build thread on the forum so we can watch your progress, there are/were a couple Motor Martin CBX owners here on the forum, lots of knowledgeable members here.
Good luck with your project!
Jeff

Joost, do you know anything about this Moto Martin? It’s taken from the Dutch site’s album you posted a link to in the tail thread.
