OP Events

Post by Rick Pope »

OP Events? What does that mean?

Simply, Other Peoples Events. If it has two wheels, I'm interested in hearing about it, and welcome info as to time, place etc. Even better is if you can insert a link to the event.

So, if you belong to another club, or hear of an event, and think interests might cross over, post info here,

For instance, in June we are having the Mega-Rally in Georgia. At the same time, VJMC is having a gathering just 20 some miles away in Helen, GA. There's a lot of our folks with various Japanese bikes, and more than a few VJMCers with CBXs.

Either garage is too small or we have too many bikes. Or Momma's car needs to go outside.

Gilmore Vintage Bike Weekend

Post by Larry Zimmer »

A 2-days event consisting of a vintage bike ride on Saturday and a show on Sunday: June 8 & 9. For details check the event sites:
Saturday -- http://gilmorecarmuseum.org/html/events ... 5&nav_id=5
Sunday -- http://gilmorecarmuseum.org/html/events ... 7&nav_id=5
The definition of vintage for this event is 1988 or prior. THAT'S US!

Here's a good example of an "OP Event" meshing nicely with our own:

Spread the Word
2013 VJMC National Rally
Helen, GA June 20-22, 2013

I would like to solicit your support to help spread the word about our 2013 National Rally. Many of you have your own ways of communicating information about what goes on in the world of motorcycle enthusiasts. As part of our on going efforts to better communicate the various VJMC activities we need some help to reach out to those members whose email address has changed and they have not updated VJMC or do not have email. There may even be a few motorcycle enthusiasts who are not members who may be interested in just what VJMC is all about.

The rooms at the Helendorf River Inn are filling fast. We have already surpassed 75% of our room block. Register now and joint us at the Rally.

This year VJMC will have our Face-to-Face Boarding in conjunction with the Rally. This will be your opportunity to meet with the Board members and discuss your thoughts and ideas face-to-face.

Well, if it REALLY was a good example, it would state the date and location...

Good eye Mike. I had copy/pasted an email and some of the info was embedded in the grapics, which didn't come over in the paste. It's fixed now.

BTW, the graphics for this event features a black '80 CBX. :D
