Re: Ebay CBX sports kit
I am always amazed that these sport kits are still available. I bought one last year. And there are more out there. Not sure if someone will post that they are still available 18 years from now...we'll see.

It’s all good, that is clearly a large part of the value of this forum, the reservoir of knowledge going back for many years.

The crazy thing is that it wasn't the dates that tipped me off - it was the post about changing the trail when swapping Pro-Link forks onto a twin shock bike. I know that EMS hasn't thought that for almost 10 years. :)

Re: Ebay CBX sports kit
Hmmmm...what is the difference between the sport kit brake spindle assy and the standard American high bars brake spindle assy? They have two different part numbers. I have two of the standard brake spindles and need a sport kit brake spindle as I have everything for the sport kit except the spindle.
If the rod for the brake spring being longer is the only difference, I can modify that. I don't know how much longer it should be but I am sure someone here can give me that info if that is only difference.
Thanks in advance,
Tony

The standard spindle will work. Springs are stretched at a different angle, as well as the caliper rod, but guys have used it that way just fine.
