Buying the parts for 1980 CBX

Post by Alexandre »

Friends, I am restoring my 1980 CBX.
I don't want to risk making a mistake in buying the parties.
So I would like some tips on which one to buy.

I need a complete piston kit to the size of 0.25.
I need a Gasket kit A and B ????
I need a Complete clutch kit.

Anyone know about this piston KIT?

Hi,

Welcome to the forum!

I have used that piston kit from David Silver a few times, and have always had good results - I will use it again on future rebuilds. The same kit is also sold by CMSNL in the Netherlands, and by the SixCenter both of whom are reputable dealers.

I have also used that gasket kit a few times and not had a problem. I now use the gaskets kits sold by CMSNL and SixCenter,

No experience with the Clutch kit.

Paul.

The clutch kit listed is for a CBX550 and will not work .
