FORUM GUIDELINES AND CODE OF CONDUCT

ICOA FORUM GUIDELINES

ICOA WEBSITE & FORUM GOALS
This forum is intended to be a safe haven for our members and non-member guests. A place that no matter how things are going.... you can come in from the rain and cold in your life, be with friends and feel the warmth of sharing your interests and also discussing CBXs just like we all do when attending rallies. This is the goal and balance we want for our site.

RANGE OF TOPICS WE ALL CAN DISCUSS
We want the topics on our site to be just like a rally where CBXers discuss a broad range of items.... including CBXs. You want to discuss just CBXs.......our site might not be what you want. Bottom line is we encourage you to post any topic CBXers would have an interest. It does not have to be something new........it can be anything of interest or items that might help all our friends here. The main thing is please try to do at least one post a month...don't be shy and again just like at a rally we all want to hear from and about you.

SAMPLE TOPICS OF THOUSANDS YOU COULD DO A POST
You would not go to an ICOA Rally and not say a single word to anyone the entire event.......would you? Please set a goal to do one post/reply a month. Here are some sample topics of thousands you might do a post on that will be of interest and/or help all of us.

a) Introduce Yourself. Where you live, your motorcycle background, CBXs, what you do for a living, CBX help you need
b) Got three Mustangs now. Had a Mustang Car and Plane...just bought a Mustang Horse.
c) My ride to Colorado (on or not on a CBX)
d) My latest Bridgestone tire is terrible in the wet!
e) My new jacket, helmet, tires, boots, gloves Yeas/Nays
f) Does the Yamaha Carb Clearer work in CBXs?
g) Anyone going to Marlinton next year?
h) Went to Mark Sprouls CBX Dragster run........posted UTube videos...check them out.
i) Flatslides....how much and are they still avail for the CBX
j) Recommendations for buying some other CBX Clubs Goodies!
k) Mobil 1 car oil in a CBX!
l) MotoGP bans Rossi for being too fast. Views on MotoGP and this decision!
m) New speeding law in VA.
n) Is Deals Gap really Deals Crapp?
o) Honda Hoot. Is 8,000 Goldwings really of interest?
p) I got another CBX
q) On and on ........any topic just like one would hear at an ICOA Rally and not just CBXs.

MAKING NEW MEMBERS WELCOME
For current ICOA Web Site members please welcome new forum members to the ICOA forums and CBX community just like we have for the last twenty five years at our rallies. Followup and help with their CBX interests and questions, include them in discussions and seek out advise they may offer in areas they have expertise. Think about how bad it would be if all of us regulars would just stick together and simply ignore/exclude first time attendees at a rally. "New To CBXs" people have to feel welcome or we might lose them forever and who knows this person that left us might have been the best friend any of us could have ever had.

RALLIES
The Rally Section is maintained by the ICOA Rally Director and will list ICOA rallies. Other events that would be of interest and benefit the club membership will be listed at the sole option of ICOA. Text and pictures for non ICOA events are to be submitted to the Rally Director for review and must comply with the Forum Guidelines. ICOA reserves the right modify the content of all rally/event submissions or not list an event.

CBX BASED PROBLEMS/ISSUES/DISPUTES
When you have a specific CBX based problem/issue or dispute with an individual, organization, company, group, club, website or ICOA member take it up with them individually first and off line just like you would do in your life or at a rally versus firing off a post or a reply to a post on the forums for the entire world to see.

TONE OF POSTS AND REPLIES
Please pay particular attention to the words you use in our Forums and make posts as if you are talking face to face to all the Forum Members at a Rally. Remember words in a forum post could remain on the board long after they have been written.
