carb hose???

I have K&N filters instead of the factory air box. I noticed a small diameter rubber hose coming from between carbs 2 and 3 from the left side, and located near the top of the carbs. It's not connected to anything.
Should it be connected? What is it? Vent?

Should be one of those on both halves. They are bowl vents. Really not needed as long as the vents are clear at the hose attachment point. Reproduction vent Ts are available and can be squeezed in place without separating the carbs.
