Re: 80 Chain

Post by ajs350 »

I fitted the new chain and sprockets today and what a difference they make. The bike runs so much smoother than before.
One thing worth sharing is that I bought the RK chain cutting and riviting tool but broke the cutting pin and holder first time I used it. RK was good enough to send me new ones but I found out their tool works best if you grind down the pin that goes through the chain link before trying to cut it.
Thanks for all the help here.

The instructions that came with my chain breaking tool from Summit Racing say that you should grind down the rivets on all chains larger than 520. 8)
