Back rest for pillion rider

Post by AshishNJ »

Hello.

I really don’t want to invest in a Corbin seat since I am happy with stock seat.

Occasionally, I take my 11 year old for an in-town cruise and I always worry that there is no backrest for him .
Is it possible to fit one ?

Thanks

Yes and No. If you have a 79 or 80, there was a luggage rack at one time that someone McGyvered up. You could extend this with a backrest. I am not aware of anything for a 81, but for the 82, again, at one time someone modified the grabrail into a backrest bracket. Maybe Louis or TIM's have an answer as to what is out there and maybe have something. A Corbin is the cleanest solution

KG made a very nice rack/backrest combo for the '79-'80 CBX. I have one to take on-and-off my '79 as needed. I think I have one complete extra, but I'd have to look.
