eds post reminded me of a cbx gas cap problem......
if you dont pay attention and twist them on 180 degrees out of norm.........they are nearly impossible to get back off
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
sad story on how i know this. i had just picked up my new 80....it wasnt the dawg yet.
i decided to ride it to chicago for a seminar in early may........so here i am at a gas station in wva putting gas into my new pride .....not that i get distracted that easy..... but it was snowing.........and i put the gas cap back on 180 degrees from norm....
it didnt quite feel right so i stopped twisting it just before it was totally on.....and guess what.......took nearly two hours to get it back off....now thats patience. plenty cold also
x made it to chicago without any problems and morning i left the radio woke me up by announcing "record temperatures" for that day in may of my departure. heyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy 92 degrees sounds plenty good to me for ride home
buttttt.... when i opened the door to my hotel room it was 22 degrees!!!!!
i had to be home the next day so through the sleet and bitter cold the x and i headed back to penna.
all i want to say about this trip back was it warmed up to 45 degrees in the mountains and the front of my motor never did look new again from ice and road dirt that were baked on forever during this 15 hour ride
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
onward and i guess another mini point is......... if you have a great tip........dont wait for someone to ask the q about it.......simply post it so we all can learn..........
not saying this tip or trip story were great in any respect nowwwwwww
