Hi fellow CBX'ers!
I recently acquired/installed the Michelin Pilot Sport Activ 100/90-19 front and 120/90-18 rear tires on my CBX and couldn't be happier. They replaced the 14 year old tires and I sighted in relief as I drove off my local shop with the new tires. The old one was a 130/80-18 in the rear, plus the bike was lowered by about an 1" by the previous owner (shorter rear shocks, front forks offset @ the triple tree).
My first impression with the new tires and the restored stock ride height is that it feels a lot more nimble. I think that is mostly due to the restored ride height. It certainly tips over quicker which makes entering a corner a lot more fun.
Only got around 250 miles on the tire so far, so haven't really tested its grip limit yet. Buy my intuition tells me that the rubber compound is quite grippy. Feels like i can carry quite a bit more speed on corners.
I frequents Newcomb's Ranch so I'll report back once I get a few more trips there with the CBX. Until then keep riding and always ride safe.
Special thanks to FalldownPhil, for the tremendous help in bringing the CBX back to its prime running state. I certainly wouldn't be able to enjoy the CBX as much without Phil's magic.
Here's that latest pic of the CBX:

Is that a Sato exhaust system?
Does it sound as good as it looks?

Thanks Phil! I wonder who helped me installed it!?
Steve, it is a Bito R&D JB-Power 6-1 exhaust system. I couldn't get enough of the sound. This video does it for me: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fHZxOs_N_sU
Hopefully can get more miles on the tires this weekend!

Re: Michelin Pilot Sport Activ review
Just got back from an 80 mile ride. Been riding more than 900 miles with the tires.
Love the tires! I don't ride that hard but I've been getting more and more lean angle with the CBX and the grip level has always been confidence inspiring. Feels like i can put in a bit more speed and lean angle, the only limit is my balls, and I usually stay on the safe side.
Try these tires and you won't be dissapointed!

Re: Michelin Pilot Sport Activ review
I have same tires on my CBX. Bike is definitely easier to lean and tires are softer so not as harsh as S11's. It handles great. The down side is that looking bike in the back, tire looks very skinny compared to the S11 i took off

Re: Michelin Pilot Sport Activ review
We used the Michelin Pilot Actives on Sweepings for some of the races. Excellent tires, only thing we had happen is the joint where the tire is joined together during manufacture started to show like a crack across the tread. Little disconcerting, Tires performed really well; much better than the Avon Roadriders which we dubbed Avon Roadsliders afterwards...
