Spot Painting Frame?

Post by hailwood1965 »

Hi again
Portions of the frame on the "barn find" CBX I have in my garage are in really good, almost new, shape.

Other portions, aren't. I think the original owner screwed up when he routed the battery drip hose and he def wasn't too careful when he mounted the seat.

Is there an accepted practice when spot painting the frame on a CBX? Paint type and color?

Thanks

Hale

I use PJ1 black epoxy rattle-can paint for that. I've touched-in many frames like yours. Pick your spots to mask off so a seam doesn't show. When it's all together, if you do a good job, it really can't be seen that you touched it up.
