Honda CBX 1000 Restoration Guide

Post by jnnngs »

I did post this a while ago, but for those that have not seen it a "plug" for my restoration guide.

Honda CBX 1000 Restoration Guide

I have sold about 650 copies so far with really good feedback. There about 100 hardback copies left, and I am in the process of getting spiral copies re-printed.

About the book:

I have been restoring classic bikes for over 20 years and been specialising in CBXs for close on 10 years. I have written down my experiences with the CBX which hopefully other owners of the CBX will find useful.

The book is written primarily as a guide to restoring a CBX, but also helps those who are looking to maintain them. Additionally, it provides detailed reference information which would be useful to existing owners and those looking to buy a CBX.

It covers the 1979 / Z model in detail and covers the 1980 / A model to a large extent (the differences are highlighted). Most of the content is relevant to the prolink models, but it DOES NOT include any prolink specific material.

The guide is 300 pages and is intended to augment the Honda Factory Shop Manual – it does NOT replace it. It includes stuff not included in the FSM, and highlights things that are covered by it that you need to look out for.

The book is available in a hardback version, with a re-print of the spiral copies available in the next few weeks hopefully.

Prices for the book are:
  • UK - £50
  • Europe - £60
  • Rest of World - £70
