1979 Red paint needed to touch up tank..

Post by royyswifft »

Hi everyone, I recently purchased my CBX and found afterwards that seam of the tank near the head post had a half inch or so of paint chipped off it. I believe this to be the genuine original paint code but have no idea how to get my hands on a 'touch up' pot.

Can anyone help please?

Vmr vintage motorcycle paints has a touch up bottle ( actually 3 bottles, base silver, red and clear) in a kit. Just go online to vmr. It’s expensive of course

Thanks for the info, Irishman.
Never heard of that company.
Have you used their CBX paint?

Colorite sells touch-up pens. They don't list Candy Glory Red, but they have it, you just have to call.

Roy, did you buy it in Canada?
Here is a video from Color-rite showing how to use the touch-up pens.
