Mystery pivot pin

Post by DaveMadsen »

I am relatively new to the CBX world and while working on the bike (engine is out of frame) I found this pivot pin laying on the floor where I was working (basically near the center stand). The pin had a fair amount of grime on it and I am trying to determine where it came from. It is approximately 7x20mm. Any ideas?

Hi,

I think it is the clevis pin which joins the rear master cylinder arm to the brake pedal spline.

Paul.

Ding, ding, ding, ding! Paul, you are CORRECT! I replaced the rear master cylinder and the pin is missing from the old master cylinder. Whew! Thanks!
