1980 Rear cowl lid alignment

The lid is sitting about 1/8 inch too far back and there isn't enough adjustment within the 3 lid screws to pull it forward. Can the spring mount bracket be bent?

Many don’t fit very well. Yes you can bend the hinge to try to get it better, but be careful.
