Hi,
Just recently joined the "CBX network", most impressed with the knowledge and level of assistance offered by everyone.
I've recently requested a set of replacement foot rest rubbbers (drivers pegs). To remove the old material, I've found that heating the whole footrest component in the oven at 250-270C for 15-30min aids the job of a neat removal. Loosened the glue enough to enable me to use screw driver and prise the whole rubber from the metal base. Take care with the heat, I used a vice and oven gloves.

Welcome to the site, Karl.
I remember using the oven once to cure caliper paint. The oven gloves came in handy to fend off the blows from the Ex.

Try Bert at SixCenter.

If he does have them he will know where to get them.

Yup, in europe Bert is the man. Having been given a tour of his shop it wouldn't surprise he could build a complete bike just from spares. And there is the cbx spares king, Louis.

We might mention here that it is Wim (above) that actually produces them.
Best,

Hi all,
I have fitted three sets of footrest rubbers from Wim, with the Sikaflex adhesive he recommends and have had no problems with them. I would recommend his services to anyone.
Cheers

For future reference, Wim is in Europe too, and Bert at 6Center got them from Wim.

According to his website, I think Bert sells a different kit, still does the job but not the same as Wim's:

Mine from six center are great. You only notice a difference when you lift the footrest and see the 2 screws.

Just finished re-reading this post. Karlos, are you certain about that 250-270C temperature for loosening the original glue!! That is HOT! Perhaps, 150-170C?

This method works every time for me.
Found that if I clamped the foot peg in a vice I could drive a metal rod into the rubber and along the aluminum, I then threaded in the plastic spray tube of carburetor cleaner, sprayed the carb cleaner in and let it sit. In short time I was able to lift off the entire rubber from the foot peg.
Best part, no cut fingers or other body parts
Mike
