Here's a fairly interesting website I found regarding the restoration of a gas tank. Considering what I've seen NOS tanks on ebay go for I'm almost considering trying this. :roll:

DON"T DO IT! One of the guys on my COG list had a tank ruined by them.I have his email about it.He also has pictures available of the terrible job they did.They actually destroyed the tank,through shoddy welding and repair.
