Though my bike seems to run quite well, after seveal hundred KMS number 01 plug oils up and shuts down and fouls up the plug with oil. I carry a spare plug to carry on my way. I did get a lot of responses regarding this matter. Is there an oil additive such as STP that may help reduce the oil consumption and the smoking? Several friends tell me to just ride it as is. I understand it can get rather costly to rebuild the engine. It does bother me seeing the smoke in my rear view mirrors. I would like to correct this problem.
Duane
Thanks

Re: oil additives
Duane, All an additive will do is drain your pocket quicker. You either have a problem with your valve guide seals or cylinder/rings.... There is an additive especially for worn rings/bores but I'm not to sure if that is the right way to go. I'm sure others will advise....
