My clutch pin bearing insert type thing, the cylinder, is a little marked on the outside and a generous fit. the bearing is A1. Does the cylinder need work or is it OK? I'm thinking to remove any tiny burrs & reinstall.

Clutch Bearing
Remove the burrs and reinstall. That section does not rotate so it does not matter. Just make sure the bearing is in good shape or it will seize and start the center piece rotating in the hub and ruin the clutch.
