Hi guys,
There is a set of 34 valve shims on ebay for $210 with shipping.
He has listed sizes of shims but, are those the ones i'll most likely be needing?

Hard to say, Sasha. Personally, I would not pay more than $5.00 per shim, if it is in a convolute. I may pay a little more for a real rare one. This being said, valve clearance goes down with wear, which means you will most likely need more "thinner" shims than thicker ones for a regular adjustment before a more serious valve job.
Something you will have to decide for yourself. It may be good to just start with a basic set of shims and build on it. But again, the most common ones you will need are in the 250-280 range.

Sasha, i would contact this E-bay seller. He should be able to set you up with a good cross section of sizes for a great price.

Far and away the most common sizes of shims you'll need are the 265-285 range with the intakes being on the upper end of that and the exhaust on the lower end. Any sizes under or over that range will be useless to you, more than likely.

My intakes are between 3.00 and 3.05. They've never needed to be changed. My exhausts started at 2.80 to 2.90. They now range from 2.70 to 2.82.

I guess I should check them and see which ones I'll be needing and order them.
It will be some down time but I guess I'll have to do it as Im almost at 2500 miles since I bough it.
What's the ideal gap target? Nixons states .005 but it seems a bit tight. It maybe optimal but ill probably have to check them more often.

Set the intakes anywhere in range (0.06 mm to 0.13 mm); set the exhausts to maximum clearance (0.13 mm). As I've said before, unless a previous owner screwed around with the intakes, they should be fine as is.

I will have to see once I open things up.

I think Mike was talking about .005 inch valve clearance. That is the max in inches and that's what you should shoot for on the exhausts for sure and .003-.005 on the intakes. Nothing less than .003 is best.

I just need to get little rubber plug for the chain tension adjuster in the front as it is leaking a bit and i'll probably start next week.
I hope i wont be needing too many shims.
Where do i get carb sync tubes and what length do they need to be? I've searched online and i think only motion pro has them but i'm not sure of the length.
I also found some short ones with rubber plugs, i guess those can stay in permanently too.
