Engine fin repair
Does anybody know who can do a great job in repairing fins on a head and cylinders. I have a Cbx 1981 I am going to restore that has fin damage.

Any welding shop that TIG weld aluminum, it is not that difficult.

Re: Engine fin repair
If the damage is a broken off piece that can be fitted back into place, J-B Weld might work. Otherwise, the weld.

Re: Engine fin repair
Mark “Hondaman” Paris rebuilt my CB750 motor back to stock after it had been poorly over bored to 836cc. He had some fins repaired during the rebuild. I believe he has a guy who does it for him. You could not tell it had been repaired. Sometimes they cut pieces of fins from scrap motors and patch them in, other times they build them up with TIG welding. He is in Lakewood Colorado and can be reached at sohc4shop@gmail.com.
