Engine Bearings

Some times when I order CBX engine bearings, I get bearings for the CB750/900/1100 series of bikes. I understand that they will fit and work properly however, the 750/900 bearings are made differently, or of different metals, than the 1100 bearings.
As near as I can tell, original CBX bearings (XXXXX-422-XXX) are tha same as 750/900 (XXXXX-425-XXX). The 1100 bearings (XXXXX-413-XXX) are a Tri-metal bearing and the 750/900 bearings are a babbit bearing.
After talking to several people (racers), most prefer the 750/900 bearing saying it is more "forgiving" than the Tri-metal bearings.
I also have some bearings from XXXXX-300-XXX, which I do not know what model that is.
If you have additional knowledge about these bearings I would appreciate hearing from you. I need your opinions.
One last piece of info....the 1100f bearings are stamped on the back either F-77 or F-112 and the 750/900 have a series of number/letters.
