Has me kind of wishing I had a engine in need of a complete rebuild. Oh and the money to pay for it, of course.

Re: RPE Racing 1400cc Big Bore kit
that's a big outlay cash, for the parts and labor combined you could buy a good used Hayabusa that will leave that set up far behind...
imo a flawlessly tuned and dead reliable cbx doesn't need more hp, it's awesome just as is...better braking and handling is what I really want on my Z, if I want to go faster I just get on my '84 GS1150

CBX a work in progress, still improving...GS1150EFE completed and awaiting modifications.....RD350, remnants in boxes scattered throughout the garage

You are clearly not our target customer. This is for those who believe a 130+whp CBX is as exciting as it gets.
There are a lot of products for the purists, this one is for those wanting more (not a rational behaviour but who cares ). We know these people exist as some of them are our customers already.
I love a 16V GS btw!
for your opinion.

Re: RPE Racing 1400cc Big Bore kit
if money were no concern and I had a two Z's then yeah, one of them being a highly modified 130hp Z would be hoot...I love it when others do it, it's just not practical or rational imo...but then my my wife doesn't think I'm practical or rational having 3 bikes and one of which I will never ride again

Hm, knowing my past propensity for doing stupid things on powerful motorbikes it's likely a good thing I cannot afford such an upgrade.wyly wrote:that's a big outlay cash, for the parts and labor combined you could buy a good used Hayabusa that will leave that set up far behind...
