Compression testing

I have started my project. To get my Dads old CBX running again. It has been not run in 20 years now. I have done a compression test. The results were dismal at best. 70psi to a max of 80psi across the board. I do remember the bike running great before it was parked. So my question is. I have read a good psi number can be between 130 to 170. Does this sound right???? The manual " if I'm reading it correctly". Says 170 psi. Any help with this would be a great help to me moving forward with this project.

To do an accurate compression test, you have to run the bike and warm it up. For a bike that has sat for 20 years, that's not bad stone cold. I wouldn't worry about that just yet. Get the carbs done and then address the issue. Jack is OK, there are possibly some better options. PM me if you want a more detailed explanation.
