Oldham coupling question.
If you have worn Oldham couplers do you hear the noise only at idle or can you hear the noise further up the the rev range say 2500-3000 rpm before the engine noise drowns out all else?

Re: Oldham coupling question.
You should be able to hear worn couplers at various engine revs not just at idle.
Dave has used the terms "busy" and "sewing machine" in describing the noise.
If it is louder or a rattle it could be the clutch rubbers. Pull in the clutch lever and see if it affects the noise.

Re: Oldham coupling question.
Thanks Steve - noise is there at all revs so most likely the Oldham couplers.
My clutch rattle is bad but I have just received my new rubbers from Bert so will install these when I have some free time.
