I am new to the forum and I have question.

thanks, M

Re: what type of metal?
Hi,
Yes, Aluminium, however in my limited experience, take it to a welder and they will tell you there are a ton of different alloy permutations around that can make the difference if you intend to weld it?
I'm sure members have had it done in the past and can recommend a fix.
regards.

Re: what type of metal?
I work in a oil refinery. In our maintenance department we have very skilled guys that will do it for me. I just want to do some research before they do it.
It is just some esthetic work to the cooling fins around the exhaust outlets nothing to the inside of the engine.
thanks for the info. If someone has more info, I'll be glad to hear it.
thx, M

Re: what type of metal?
The head can be easily welded. Any good aluminum welder can do it. No special cooling requirements.
