Too much oil

Several weeks ago I had stated that I miss read the oil dip stick and put in too much oil. I did drive it for a period of time. Could I have caused some major damage. What happens if there is too much oil? Since then I brought the level to a proper level.

Devon, I really don't think you have done any damage other than to saturate your air filter, does the engine show signs for concern. ?
