Air Filter

I took my CBX out again at 5 degress C Sometimes the bike seems to run like a top and other times not. I'm wondering if it has anything to do with air flow. I am using the stock sponge type filter. I read the manual stating to use 80/90 weight oil on the filter and then wring out. Once again, off the line it seems to really take off, but when I bring her up to higher speeds, it seems to hesitate a bit.

Run the bike WFO & pull the plugs, it will tell you if you are too rich ( blocked air filter) or lean ( dirty/partially blocked fuel supply system.)
