Crank cover leak again

Post by ksquared »

Of course a week after I fix the leaking right crank cover, the left one starts to leak. Easy fix as I had another gasket & O-ring was fine. I still don't know this engine well yet. What am I looking at here. Looks like someone made little marks. Does it tell you anything?

Those are factory marks that indicate the I.D. of the main journal. See page 12-11 of the factory service manual.
