Wheel bearing flat spot
Greetings all. I was wondering recently if wheel bearings flat spot when the bike is sitting for a long while? I know the tires could, having felt it before. My 82 X has only had about 4k put on it in the 10+ years I have owned it(still under 10k). The X is just sitting in the garage on the center stand, with all the weight on the front tire. The rear bearing would only have the weight of the wheel/tire hanging in the air.I don't believe the bearings would flat spot because of the abuse they go through in their life. If they did, the bearings would have to be defective,to soft of material. Just my thoughts,am I correct? Rick
