Threaded holes on fork caps

Hey all.
I'm new to the CBX scene, still getting my '79 debugged and dialed in.
My bike has threaded holes in the fork caps, and I'm not sure why. My guess would be that they came from a bike that had Schrader valves in the fork caps to allow the adjusting of air pressure in the forks - but I didn't think that the CBX came so equipped, and I am pretty sure that my forks are stock - they're definitely 35mm in any case.
I'm wondering if this is stock/normal for a CBX? If so, what was the intended usage of those threaded holes?
Thanks!
