There is no such thing as "end cans" on a Honda CBX exhaust system. They are one piece from the exhaust port to the tail pipe. You can't mix and match.

thanks for that i was on the understanding they could split at the clamp where the rear meets the down pipes . has anyone any history of pipes such as Marving or MAC or any advice on what type to buy as i dont intend to keep the bike my plan is to sell the bike but i would like the pipes to make it all good , regards

If you have access to the Marvings, they are a good alternative. Some have reported fitment problems with them, however.

If you are restoring/repairing the bike just for selling it, the MAC would no doubt be the least expensive way to go.
Shiny sells!
Personally speaking only, i prefer the look, sound and quality of the Marving.

I'm not sure but I think that you will probably find that any exhaust system except the original Honda system, or the reproduction, or the Delkovic system will be single wall headers.

I have a set of Marvings in the garage. I think they are pretty good quality, and they sound and look almost like the stock Honda exhaust.

Delkevic will be close to double the cost of a Marving or Mac.
Are you aiming at a near stock appearance for resale or is it a custom bike?

near stock steve as i want to keep as close to original as possible . the pipes that are on it are good only for the rust hole on the under where they all go . im on two minds whether to just leave them as is because id hate to spend that money on a new set for someone to buy the bike and then they may have a set of nos buried away from the past or have other choice in pipes which they prefair and then the new pipes are a waste if you know what i mean mate , cheers p
