Slight discoloring on exhaust pipe, Remedies ?

I have an '82 CBX with low miles, 5100, and the pipes have a slight
yellow tinge, not quite blue. Anyone have any ideas how to clean them
up. I thought I'd ask before I start trying rubbing compounds or
polishes. Thanks for the help.

Blue Away works well but is quite aggressive, so I wouldn't apply it too often as it will eventually remove/thin your chrome.....

Blue Job seems to work better than Blue Away and isn't as hard on the chrome.

I used Blue Job on my '80 to get rid of that nasty yellow tinge about 3 years ago. Followed it up with FLITZ polish. I usually do a FLITZ or SIMICHROME polish in the spring & again just before I put the bike into winter hibernation. Seems to be working well. The yellow hasn't returned & the pipes sure look purdy!!

I like Simichrome as well. It appears to be very low abrasive and can remove some minor blue/yellow on the pipes.

A friend of mine turned me on to FLITZ a few years back. We both like guns (go figure) & he found FLITZ was good for cleaning off the burnt powder that sticks to the gas cylinder & slide of semi-auto shotguns. It actually involves less elbow grease than SIMICHROME & doesn't appear to be any more abrasive. And I'm all for ease of maintenance.
