OTS but need input on 6 Volt battery.

Looking to order a battery for the `59 Bonny. Westco has a 6V 13 A/h sealed battery that I`m thinking would work. Guess it only needs to run the lights so am I right in thinking this one will work ok ?

If the size is right & the posts are in the correct position it should work OK Phil. Just need for lights & ignition to support the Lucas ( Prince of Darkness) system...Normally it's the other way round. Charging system supporting the battery...

Size wise should work but will have to use different connecters, about the only 6v battery I have found. Will also have to figure out how to use the spark advancer ???, but the bike has other issues like a gas tank that leaks gas as fast as I pour it in.

If its only running the lights, why not change them out to 12v bulbs?

The whole system is 6 volt Terry, it would mean changing everything including the alternator...

It's not that hard, the biggest obstacle is resizing it to the maximum pixel dimensions. You can do it!

I'm not sure how big your Westco battery is but there are 6 Volt batteries out there for the old Honda Trail 90's for about $15. I have one in my 1975 Trail 90 and it works great. Size is about 3" deep, 5" long and 5" high, roughly. Of course, it's a wet battery, not a sealed design.
