I never checked if Westco actually makes a CBX-size battery. I have always used the GL unit. Even when I was still using Interstate. Main reason is, that it fits nicely into the compartment and makes the spacer - which is missing on many bikes today anyway - obsolete. And it does have a little more reserve as far as cranking power. That comes in handy in the Prolink with the vacuum valve.
Are Westcos available in the U.K.? Hawker Odysseys probably are, but they have a limited choice.

Specialist battery suppliers ( also sometimes available on E-BAY.CO.UK) sell the Westco brand over here ( bought one for my GS) plus the one I have in my CBX uses the spacer. Surprisingly, the cost is camparable to the States, considering the exchange rate. However, the added insurance of the larger battery could be seen as a plus Mike, I do agree but you also have the added weight ??
Spose if the bike wouldn't start because of a cold &/or flat battery, the added weight wouldn't be an issue....
