The naked '81 i bought from Robert Hill in Oklahoma has NGK IridiumIX spark plugs. I have never used this kind of plug. The standard NGK DRE8-L has always performed well for me.
They cost close to $15.00 each around here, while they are performing great on the '81 i was wondering about using them on other bikes.
What advantages/traits are the Iridium plugs supposed to offer?
Any info would be appreciated.

While there are probably a boatload of features, the biggest advantage of the Iridium plugs is, that they create more profit for those who make and sell them....

Thanks gents for the replies.
Longevity, would probably be the determining factor in my case. Although i know i will not be putting big miles on the '81. The bike has a Dyna ignition, Dyna coils and Taylor stainless lines. I know that combo has worked well with the standard NGK plugs in the past.
The money not spent on the high dollar plugs can go to LOTS of other parts for the bike.
