Gentlemen,
This is just what I needed.
Thanks very much.
The battery came in today and I'll get to checking the 3/4 system.

OK.
New AGM battery and no fire to 3/4 plugs.
Swap the primary leads from the 1/6 coil and the 3/4 coil and no fire to 1/6 with good spark to 3/4.
So the coils are good.
Have been taking up alot of Mike Nixon's time and brainpower and also ordered his CBX Ignition manual (which is worth its weight in gold). Per Mike's manual, I tested the pulsers by performing the substitute test with a 9V battery and find no spark to 3/4, meaning the pulser unit is OK and I have a bad spark unit.
I email Louis late yesterday at usedCBXparts and he is sending me a functioning unit on Monday - I should have the old girl up and running (on all 6) next weekend with any luck at all.
Let me say on this forum that the level of expertise, kindness and generosity displayed by Mike Nixon in particular and everyone else who offered assistance on this thread is astounding.
The CBX may be a cult bike, but it's a cult I'm pleased/proud to be a member of.
The manuals Mike has produced are a savior to anyone maintaining a CBX. I highly recommend them and him.

OK.
Back on the road and the old girl runs brilliantly.
The new (to me) spark unit (OEM, I figure the first one lasted 30 years and I'm the dummy who killed it. If this one lasts another 30 years, I'll be too old to care/ride it) I bought from Louis did the trick. Many thanks to him for getting it to me in a hurry. You now have a customer for life.
Do yourself a favor if you're caring for this older Japanese classic, avail yourself of Mike Nixon's manuals and him. Many thanks to him and his patience with me (I've advanced from electrical dunce to "OK, I think I can do this electrical fix").
Again, this is a terrific forum and group of members.
