Carb Set Up Question

Hi everybody.
The way my carbs are currently set up I only have fast idle with the choke lever fully engaged. Is this normal?
I would really like to have fast idle with a partial choke. Is this an easy adjustment?
Thanks

You could keep a long necked screwdriver handy and just turn the idle screw up and down but a fast idle generates a lot heat.
What is it you are trying to do?

Agree with Steve. You really don't want the fast idle working too well. Walk away for a second and the pipes are blue. To answer your question, yes it can be adjusted, but requires the carbs to be removed. Then it's kind of a complicated set of linkages to adjust. It should work a bit, but I'm a believer in manning the throttle yourself during a brief warm-up, then get the bike moving.

Thanks for the replies guys. So I take it that for the most part, my set up is pretty normal with the fast idle only working with the choke fully engaged. I will probably have the carbs off this winter and will fiddle around with that linkage Dave. I fully understand that its a bad idea to keep the choke on for any length of time due to heat and blueing pipes.
