Anyone know of a source for getting slow jets for a 79? I checked Sirius and they are out of stock.

http://www.randakks.com/

They sell rebuild kits but i would contact them anyway and ask them the same question.
A great company.

Thaks Phil. 8)

I checked their website and didn't see any press fit slow jets like these.

Now, I haven't removed mine yet but I assume mine are like these. I've seen posts on here from people that have removed this style form their 79 carbs.
I did email Sirius and they said a couple week before they get some in. Suppose I'll wait for them as I do want to get these carbs as clean as I can. Already had them on once and they weren't right. Oh well, live and learn.

Their photo shows a #421
Looks to me like a CBX takes a #424-26
Did you ask them if they have it ??
Best,
Phil

Phil,

I just sent off an email to them to inquire about press in jets. :handgestures-fingerscrossed:
I'll post what they say.

If your jets haven't been ruined by being enlarged, you can extract them and clean and reuse with absolutely no problem. Just follow the procedure chronicled here many times and you should be fine. Sirius is the only source for new ones that I know of.

Indeed Jerry, have a look at this post:

Phil,

I received a response from Sara at PJ's, she says the only jets they have are listed on their site so, they don't have any. Thanks for the link tho, I can sure use that for something else in the future.

Thanks Dave and Aris. I just assumed the jets would be trashed if I drilled through them. I previously read that post Aris and I just didn't think (at the time) I could re-use them. I've re-read the post and read Mike's link and it's all clear to me now. Thanks guys, I will re-use mine.
