Interesting. With a bunch of new and used CBX parts from Germany, I received a set of VB61A carbs. These are the German/European 1979 versions. But this particular set has the vacuum valve. I know, it could be a later conversion, using the kit Honda supplied, but........ :think: :think:

It seems a lot more European bikes recieved the vacuum valve upgrade from dealers than here. There is one for the '79 on eBay right now, in fact.

I was thinking that this carb came from one of the later CB1s (79s) that were sold in Europe/Germany in 1980 as a 1980 bikes, like the black 79s that were available there, and had the vac valve from the factory. It would we interesting to learn from someone who owns one of these, what the carb set-up is.
