Emulsion Tubes

I am trying to revive and old bank of 79 carbs which have been off a bike for a long time. I could only get the emulsion tubes below the jets out of two carbs with reasonable effort. The others resist and one of them has already a mangled head. Can you extract these with a tiny bolt extractor? Anybody done it?

Heat and a custom ground slotted tee handle screwdriver made from a tee handled allen wrench.

I have a custom ground screwdriver or tee handle allen wrench for every jet and emulsion tube for the carbs.

If you want to use them, come and get them, or just bring the carbs with you.

Jeff: I have a tool that should work. Ground a screwdriver to the right width. It did on two tubes. How do you apply heat? With a propane torch?
And what to do with the one that has no slot anymore

I may take you up on this, Jeff. I have to tend to an urgent issue at work, a family emergency and a job I have to finish for another member first ( in that order) before I can get back to these carbs. Probably not before week after next. Thanks!

I'm not going anywhere, got a garage full of projects and a kitchen update to finish.

In the meantime, order some Kroil penetrate online, put a couple drops in the nozzle passageways and repeat that every couple days until you bring them over.
