carb bench stand

Post by barryadam »

Does anyone still make that CBX carb bench stand / holder?
Anyone have an old one they want to part with?
If not, does anyone have any pics of the details of how they were made?

TIA,

Barry

Excellent question! Never seen one myself. If I think about it...all these years of rolling the bank of carbs around on the flat top of a workbench....

I made one up on the cheap but like Mike said I just end up flipping the carbs around on the bench.

I can post a pick of the one I cobbled together tomorrow.

Like mine?

If so, it's a common K&L item. Any dealer with a K&L Supply catalog (about 99% of all dealers) could order one for you.

Here's the part number: #29-2282

I like it, but I made some minor mods to help it accept the unique "V" shape of CBX carbs.

Great. Thanks Randall.
That's the one I had in mind. I do not see it in their 2009 catalog.

However, they do have a stand 35-7679 with a plate base and expansion plugs. Will have to find out if it is wide enough for the six CBX carb bank.

Their website and catalog have a CBX motor shown in their motor stand though.

p.s. I'm saving up for your carb kits.

Thinking out the box, if someone had a shot cylinder head, that may make a good rack too... Depends what you would want to do I spose....

I got home from my trip and looked in my K&L catalog.

35-7679 is indeed the correct part number for my K&L stand.

The number I mentioned above was the product of a flawed internet search.
