bike - 87 cbx250
problem: If I am really reving its nuts off, and I suddenly close the throttle, it has mildly 'poped' - backfired a few times. This has just started happening for the last few days.
any thoughts?
thanks

CBX-B,
Either your way lean (not Likely) or your "anti-backfire" valve on the #1 carb is going away. This is the round cover located out in the open on the LH side of your #1 carb. You can get them about anywhere and they're not very expensive. Good Luck.

Steve:
the 1987 CBX250 is a 249cc single. And I am not sure, whether the one and only carb has an "anti-backfire" valve. It is a non-U.S. model and our friend CBXBOY is in dire need of some service literature..
